10 Awe-inspiring Graphic Advertising Campaigns Of All Time

Every business has a soul and every soul has a story. If you look at it, the way you convey your brand story to build credibility, gain conversions, and attain loyalty is what measures your success as a business. Creative storytelling has numerous ways to reach your audiences. Sometimes, you should go eccentric to mesmerise your leads and customers to achieve what you expect from the campaign. 1. KFC

If someone asks you how good is KFC, you would quickly say, “It’s finger lickin’ good!”, wouldn’t you? The yummy fast food restaurant chain got the perfect tagline and it’s quite true. Then, what could be a better idea than depicting the catchy tagline with crazy graphics creatives? Inspired by this idea, Chinese creative director Zane Zhou designed some kooky print ads that represent our gadgets and everyday objects craving for our touch.

2. Penguin Books

Book reading has been on the list of best hobbies for ages. These days, it seems quite difficult to spend some time for reading, but we don’t need to give up chewing on a book, thanks to technology. Leading publisher Penguin Books wanted to promote its audiobooks in India and run a print advertising campaign. It created ad banners featuring authors like Mark Twain in the shape of headphones, in which the authors are shown reading the stories to listeners. This crazy creative ad campaign was successful in driving 7% more sales for the audiobooks.

In another campaign run for promoting audiobooks, Penguin Books tried to convince people why they should turn to audiobooks. It is a well-known fact that paper is made from trees and cutting down trees causes global warming. So if we reduce the use of paper, the world would be greener. Penguin wanted to spread this awareness among the public and wanted them to prefer audiobooks. For this campaign, the company got some graphic creatives that tells the whole story in an image.

3. B&B Hotels

If you are a traveler checking in at a hotel, what are the two things that you would enjoy the most? Yes, of course, it’s a cozy bed and a delicious breakfast. B&B Hotels, a European chain of hotels, wanted to promote its bed and breakfast services to the tired travelers and got some amazing print ads designed by Publicis.

4. Perdigāo

Creativity has no boundaries. If you think out of the box, you can use anything around you to tell your story in the most enticing way. Want an example? Then you must have a look at the print ad of Perdigāo for its boneless chicken product, Chester. Y&R, a Brazilian agency, gave shape to this funny creative that tells the whole thing clearly.

5. Chupa Chups

Who else can smell sugar better than an ant? Oh, it’s well-known to you and never seems a big thing. But Chupa Chups could see a great opportunity to spread the word about its sugar-free lollipops in the simplest, clearest and most enticing way through a creative print ad. You know how?

6. Hut Weber

What makes you look completely different? Let us guess it. Your hairstyle? Dress? Or a hat? Now, this might startle you. Of course, what difference can a hat make! But Hut Weber says that their hat could turn Adolf Hitler into Charlie Chaplin. Seriously!

The creative by ServicePlan, a German ad agency, broke the Hitler taboo by using his face out of a historical context. Thus the company created a buzz in the whole nation and got the public attention that it anticipated.

7. Colgate

A smile makes you look more beautiful. But a toothless smile, makes you look the ugliest. A small fallen out tooth takes away all your beauty, doesn’t it? This might never come to you, but you have to take proper care of your teeth. Spreading this awareness, Colgate sends a soft message to its audiences.

The world-renowned pen manufacturer Sharpie, when launched its twin tip pen, wanted to take it to its targets with a strong message. With their single tagline “One Story, Two Points”, they got Draftbc, a Brazilian agency, to create an enticing print ad. To match the tagline, the agency took the success story of Mark Zuckerberg and drawn two versions to the story. And the final product was just amazing!
